HP Pavilion 595-p0033nl

Hi would like to replace the GTX 1050 in bundle with the pc with a powerful one (would be enough a 1050 ti w/4GB ram) but i'm not sure if the PSU watt would be enough. Would be possible to replace just the graphic card (i seen that the pavilion 595-p0002nl have a 1050ti w/4GB) or I have to replace the psu? Where can i find a compatible psu, because the mainboard have a non standard connectors, and i can't buy a simple sff psu?

I tryed to contact the support via fb but without success (they just warned me that this would invalidate the warranty and that next time i should ask their team for a pc that better fit my needs)

thanx in advance

@cucca

Very interesting, the specs does not say anyhting about the GTX 1050 card

     https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06185440

with 180W PSU.

Now, from Nvidia, GTX 1050 required machines with 300W PSU

     https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1050/

and same 300W for GTX 1050ti

     https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-1050-ti/specifications

That means your machine current already has 300W PSU by chance. Did you buy your machine from HP store or from a normal store ? I believe it was upgraded before you bought it.

Regards.

There is not much difference in power consuming between Geforce 1050 and 1050 ti.....

I think we have the cases and I do also have the 1060...on a just 310W power supply...and works.

We have almost the same motherboard "connectors speaking" chipset is different..you are on AMD I am on INTEL...

I am pretty sure it will work without changing the power supply in your case too! What power supply you have now? 180W?

Do you have the extra 6 pin plug from the PSU to be able to power the video card?

I think you can change the PSU and get the one I am having...it will be enough

The fact is that reading the specs of the gtx1050ti it require a 300w psu, i don't know id the gpu in bundle is optimized for low power... i have an intel cpu too but my psu is only 180w. Would be good to have a psu like your, but where can be bought? I live in italy, and doesn't seems hp is happy to sell spare parts expecially if modify "their" pc... tryed to search on amaz..., ebay etc but no luck 😞

Hi Banhien, in the specs, in the graphic card it says gtx 1050:

I bought my pc on a big EU market, i'm pretty sure they didn't upgrade it (it's conforming the specs you posted: gtx 1050 w/ 180w psu). Is there a way to use a standard SFF PSU and have an adapter for the customs mainboard cable? Can't be self made checking volts with a tester?

Sadly there is no way to adapt a regular PSU to this custom motherboard...

Concerning the video card...you read that minimum 300W is required...well those are Nvidia General Specs made on their test computer which is always a very powerfull computer and consume way more power than our computers....maybe you saw that all Geforce 1050 and 1050ti requires 300W...so if your computer works now with 1050...it will definately work with 1050ti too without a sweat! That doesnt mean your card its optimised for low power.

Only if you go higher you will need a bigger PSU...Other than that you are OK!

replacing the psu with a powerful one would give me the security that a bigger gpu will work without any problem... but where could i get one?
