I need to replace the power supply for an old HP Pavilion decktop NY550AA-ABA p6240. The power supply is a Liteon PS-5301-08HA.
However, several of the power supplies I have tried have the wrong SATA connector as HP infamously uses proprietary connectors. Does anyone know what the connector type is for hp DVD drive and are there any converters for SATA to the inverted concection HP uses?
How can I find compatible HP SPU power supply?

According to your desktop's specs (please check if I got the right unit: HP Pavilion p6240f Desktop PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support) and HP PartSurfer, the replacement PSU for your PC is the "300-watt (Merlot C)", HP part number: 5188-2625 aka the Liteon PS-5301-08HA you mentioned (see: HP PartSurfer).
You can purchase these units cheaply via eBay, for example: 5188-2625: Search Result | eBay or: liteon ps-5301-08ha: Search Result | eBay.
[EDIT:] By the way, if it is the case that you are looking for an upgraded PSU, this 500 watt PSU may be compatible with your desktop: NEW 500W HP Pavilion p6340f p6210y ps-5301-08ha Power Supply Replace 50N.30 | eBay.
The aforementioned power supply units will have all the quaint HP proprietary power connections you will ever need.
Hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
