Hello,

The processor of my OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-0000a died, the PC worked again with another processor I could borrow for the test.

Originally this PC has an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.

I could not really find this same processor again....so I thought to place a Ryzen 7 5700X, has pretty much same specs with same power requirements.

I realise the motherboard should have a BIOS upgrade before this should work ( done this quite a few times before ).

The problem is that on the support page of this PC there is BIOS F.27 revA available.

Current BIOS is F20, but when i want to run the BIOS, a message says that this BIOS is older than the current one.

So F.27 rev A is older than F.20 according to the BIOS exe itself.

What is going wrong?

And will this help me to use the new processor on this motherboard?

I am thankful for any help
