Hi @reaver317,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the RGB case lights on your OMEN 30L Desktop PC are not working, you can follow these troubleshooting steps to try and resolve the issue.
- Check Connections: Make sure all the necessary cables and connections for the RGB lighting are properly plugged in. Check the connections between the RGB components (LED strips, fans, etc.) and the RGB controller or motherboard header.
- Software Settings: Some RGB lighting systems are controlled through software. Check if your PC has any pre-installed software for controlling RGB lighting. If it does, open the software and ensure that the lighting is enabled and set to the desired color or effect.
- BIOS/UEFI Settings: If the RGB lighting is connected to the motherboard's RGB header, you might need to check the BIOS/UEFI settings to ensure that RGB lighting is enabled. Sometimes, these settings can be turned off by default.
- RGB Controller: If your PC has a separate RGB controller, make sure it's powered on and connected properly. You might need to refer to the user manual to understand how the controller works and troubleshoot any issues.
- Hardware Compatibility: Ensure that all your RGB components (fans, LED strips, etc.) are compatible with the motherboard or controller you're using. Incompatible hardware might not work as expected.
- Faulty Components: It's possible that one of the RGB components is faulty. Try connecting each component individually to see if any specific component is causing the issue.
- Driver and Software Updates: Make sure your motherboard's RGB controller drivers and any RGB control software are up to date. Manufacturers often release updates to fix bugs and improve compatibility.
- Physical Damage: Check for any physical damage to the RGB components or cables. If something appears damaged, it might be causing the issue.
- Reset CMOS: In some cases, resetting the CMOS (BIOS) settings can help resolve hardware-related issues. Follow your motherboard's manual to perform a CMOS reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
