Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.
I understand that the Right Shift Key keeps acting as the Pause key.
Do you have issues with other keys?
I suggest you reinstall the Keyboard driver
- In Windows, search for and open Device Manager.
- In the list of devices, look for Keyboard and expand the list
- Right-click the device and select Uninstall
- Follow the on-screen instructions to uninstall the driver.
- Restart your computer
If the issue persists, please run a Keyboard Test
- Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
- Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
- When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
- On the main menu, click Component Tests and Keyboard
