Hi @spider402,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
If your HP 27-inch All-in-One Desktop PC (27-cr1064) is not recognizing the wireless keyboard and mouse during setup, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and connect your devices:
1. Check the USB Receiver:
- Ensure that the USB receiver (dongle) for your wireless keyboard and mouse is firmly plugged into one of the USB ports on your PC.
- Try different USB ports if the receiver isn’t recognized immediately.
2. Power On the Devices:
- Make sure both the keyboard and mouse have fresh batteries and are powered on.
- Check for power switches on the devices and ensure they are turned on.
3. Pair the Devices Manually:
- Some HP wireless keyboards and mice have a pairing button. Look for a small button, often located on the bottom of the devices, labeled "Connect" or with a pairing icon.
- Press the pairing button on the keyboard and mouse to initiate pairing mode. Then press the button on the USB receiver (if available) to pair them.
4. Check for Interference:
- Ensure there are no other wireless devices nearby that might be causing interference, as this can disrupt the connection.
5. Restart the PC:
- Restart your All-in-One PC to refresh the hardware recognition process.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @spider402,
Please find the remaining steps below.
6. Update Drivers:
- Ensure that the drivers for your wireless keyboard and mouse are up to date.
- You can use the HP Support Assistant to check for updates or download drivers from the HP Support website.
7. Check Bluetooth Settings (if applicable):
- If your keyboard and mouse are Bluetooth-based rather than using a USB receiver, ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your PC.
- Go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and ensure Bluetooth is turned on. Look for your keyboard and mouse in the list and try to connect them manually.
8. Replace Batteries or Reset:
- Replace the batteries with new ones to ensure sufficient power.
- If available, perform a reset on the keyboard and mouse by holding down the pairing button until the lights flash.
9. Use a Wired Keyboard/Mouse Temporarily:
- If the wireless devices still won’t connect, use a wired keyboard and mouse temporarily to navigate and further troubleshoot the problem.
These steps should help you set up your wireless keyboard and mouse with your HP 27-inch All-in-One Desktop PC.
If none of these steps work, it might be helpful to contact HP phone support. They will help you via remote assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
