This desktop PC has just recently started putting out a low Buzz noise now and then when audio is playing only and it last only a couple of seconds but gets annoying. It makes this buzz anytime sound is playing whether online or off.

I'm thinking about buying a new sound card or a device like that shown below. This one would make for very easy installation - just plug it into a USB port and then plug in the speakers and that's it. Only $20.00

Anyone had any experience in using an External audio card (device) like this?

Or any suggestions        Thanks                                                                                                                                                              External sound card resized.png

@shu-hi -- first, before spending any money, I would try unplugging, and then reconnecting, your speakers.

Second, I would try connecting your speakers to a different computer, to see if the "buzz" moves with the speakers.

Third, I would connect a different set of speakers to your computer.

Fourth, if your computer supports BlueTooth, maybe try a BlueTooth portable speaker, instead of "wired" speakers.

>> just plug it into a USB port

Remember to configure "audio output" within Windows, to prefer to use this device, instead of the built-in audio hardware.

Can you walk me through the above a bit? Not sure where to go in Windows 10 to do this - would be much appreciated.
