There is a small option cover that is removable on the back of the HP t740 (not the larger PCIe slot). A WiFi antenna connector can be installed in place of the small removable cover. There is an RS-232 connector there presently. What is the part number of the WiFi connector plate or kit?

@rte66,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

You posited a very good question.

HP's specs for the HP t740 Thin Client indeed shows the "Configurable port options" including an "External Wi-Fi antenna connector":

But no matter where I researched, coming up with an actual part number for the Wi-Fi connector proved to be elusive.

We know it exists somewhere on a (secure) shelf, but a mere mortal as I could not locate it.

The closest I got was that some HP t740 Thin Client models are fitted with this "External Wi-Fi antenna connector", such as this model, with base product number: M06484-001 "SPS-Base t740/TP/16GF/8GR/W", but this Wi-Fi connector is part of the "Base", and no specific part number is offered anywhere for the Wi-Fi connector.

Perhaps a wandering HP Techie can provide us with a part number...

Kind Regards,

NonSequitur777
