Hello. I believe my 843b motherboard has m.2 pcie type 3 slot and was wondering if I put in SAMSUNG 980 M.2 2280 1TB PCI-Express 3.0 x4, NVMe 1.4 V-NAND MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-V8V1T0B/AM will it work. After that, would I be able to do a system reinstall DIRECTLY onto the installed ssd and boot to it (would I do a system recovery option and select the ssd initialize and install onto?) would I lose my data or would I still have everything including a second operating system on the 2gb original hard drive which wouldn't hurt anything (I could select boot to ssd from bios?). Please post or email directly

According to the spec page that motherboard does have an M.2 slot
One M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for SSD
Here is a thread discussing that motherboard and a M.2 SSD. The last posting shows the SSD used.
I'm not an HP employee.
