Hi I wanted yo update my Memory from 8 to 16GB, also update my hardrive to a ssd drive 480 or 500 gb what is the correct ones to get for this model. P3110 pavillion

That page lists the "current" and "maximum" values for RAM, with the specifications.
See: www.crucial.com for a good tool for telling you exactly what RAM will be compatible with your computer.
Before you spend any money on RAM, open the Windows "Task Manager", and switch to its "Performance" tab. If Windows is currently using less than 4 GB of RAM, extending the RAM to 16 GB may be a waste of your money.
Any SSD from any manufacturer should work, but there have been a few reports on this forum about one manufacturer's SSD *NOT* allowing a computer to boot.
