ok so if it s this one

Odense2-K motherboard specifications.

hp has only tested validated this, so little chance it will work

  • TDP: Up to 91 W
  • Socket type: LGA 1151
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
Processor
TDP
Integrated Graphics
Intel Core i7-7700 (Kabylake) 3.6 GHz Quad Core
65 W
Intel HD Graphics 630
Intel Core i5-7400 (Kabylake) 3.0 GHz Quad Core
65 W
Intel HD Graphics 630
Intel Core i3-7100 (Kabylake) 3.9 GHz Dual Core (only with Twister chassis)
51 W
Intel HD Graphics 630

I'm not saying it's impossible, according to the processor data sheet everything seems to be correct
only, maybe it will be necessary to have an update of the bios, except check but no support announced it seems to me
Maybe it can work directly
nothing certain, try to see on the net, if it has not already been tested (or here)

HP provides a model name on the front of the desktop computer, but this name or number might not be sufficient to get proper support for your computer. These names or numbers often represent a series of many desktop computers that look similar, but have different options and parts. For example, HP has produced over one hundred types of HP Pavilion 700 Desktop models in different configurations, such as the HP Pavilion 725n-us Desktop PC and the HP Pavilion 763k-ap Desktop PC.
This document describes how to find the model number (also called the product name) for your HP desktop computer. You can use the model number or the product number to download drivers, find helpful documents, or get online support.

If it's for w11, you should have started with this

And I say most of the time, it is best to wait and find out what is going to be decided.
in many cases there would be little or no point in spending money just to upgrade to windows 11 ..
By then it may be possible to install windows 11 on many computers, without too much problem.
please validate an answer, to finalize the subject, it may help others
