1. You have a 500 GB drive (HDD)

Open diskmanager and make a screenshot. (I told you that before!) (RightClick on "Start" and then select Diskmanagement)

I will do this soon in my friend's PC hp 6200 pro, and keep post here,... in the mid

If the current HDD is having errors, do these have to be fixed before I clone it to SSD? How do understand has errors?

For that we use these cmd (admin) commands

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

sfc /scannow

What if do the cloning of HDD 2 SSD, without first RUN CLI as ADMIN THESE TWO COMMANDS...?

You don't have the knowledge to understand the answer! But believe me, I know exactly what I suggest you to do!

It is your (!) own responsibility!

So you have ACRONIS and you know how to make a Backup. Right? You have an Acronis Recovery Bootstick. Right?

You need an external USB-Drive for the Backup first. When the Backup is ready, delete this old HP-Recovery partition D:\

Then you could convert the disc to GPT. MBR2GPT should work if you have just 3 Partitions and your Windows Recovery partition is enabled. But before you do that, go into BIOS and find the Boot Option settings where you change from LEGACY to UEFI.

When that is ready shrink the C-Partition to 120-150 GB.

Will be back soon

I have Acronis Rescue Media DVD and Not a USB Stick

Why needed this YOU SAY... and Not just clone HDD to SSD...? and keep as is BIOS and Not UEFI,...?

On the other hand, I can do a Disk 0 backup, after cloning HDD to SSD with SATA2USB cable & Acronis Media, replace the HDD with SSD, and after converting BIOS to UEFI... in the SSD?

So, be double covered from BACKUP and HAVING HDD intact - as work on SSD...

well?

Also, the tool you mention is this:

It's up to you what kind of Acronis medium you use.
The question is: Do you know how to run a Backup covering the first 3 partitions from that medium?
Do not run it from Windows!
Do you know how to run a Recovery from a Acronis Boot medium and how to select the source and the target partitions?

Delete this HP-Recovery-Partition D first !

after that run this command in CMD (admin)

reagentc /info

Do you get "enabled" ?

If DELETE D:/ Recovery Partition,

Is any danger to make PC not bootable?

Is not better backup ALL DISK 0, Including D:/ recovery partition...? For stay safe in any case,...
