upgrading graphics card and power supply

and i was wondering if the graphics card is compatible and if i need a adapter for the power supply.

 You need a low profile GPU to fit in the case and prefereably one that requires no external power unless you wanna sacrifice your optical drive and use ONLY one SSD (not HDD) since the PSU cant cope with much

That was a full size GPU you need a tiny one LOW PROFILE

If that is correct the gpu might fit but regarding the PSU 99% of HP computer use proprietary PSUs so ATX PSUs dont work

yeah thats my computer and so only ATX PSUs don't work, which one do you recommend
