sorry im late, no i never did need the adapter for the 690, i instead took the memory i upgraded out and the cpu (r5 2400g) and all other exchangeable components to a new motherboard (msi b450 gaming plus AC) and new case... but the 690 i had with the sff powersupply had a 6 pin connector on it. my 1050 on my 690 didn need power either but i shorted it out somehow... newbie mistake on my part tryin to get more power, but a zotac 1060 6gb card will work on the 690 0013 edition hp pc. idk how high or much higher you could go, but the psu in the 690 ran 16gb ram, 2x1 tb wdblue 7200 hdd, 1 500gb ssd wdblue, the r5 and the 1060...hopefully you know to just build your own tho way cheaper....

i asked if it would workk and that my uncle was using one, for a similar pc.... not that i was.
