There is either something wrong with the USB port, its driver, or a device plugged in (or connected internally)  is not recognized.

AI Overview

The "Device Descriptor Request Failed" error can occur for a number of reasons, including a USB hardware fault or an unstable or corrupt USB driver. Here are some things you can try to fix the issue:
  • Restart your computer
  • Update your USB device driver
  • Update Windows
  • Run the Hardware and Device Troubleshooter
  • Disable Fast Startup
  • Disable the USB Selective Suspend Setting
  • Remove the USB device and scan for hardware changes
  • Try a different USB port
  • Try a different computer and device
  • Change root hub settings
