HP Pavilion p7-1257c
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

right now this computer can handle small games but i want to play bigger games but dont have the funds to build a whole new one. So i want to upgrade this one enough to allow me to play but I dont know what my limits are and what is compatible I want to definetly get  a graphics card and that means probably a new power bank. I need help figure how big of upgrades i can do and what i should upgrade to allow me to play most games pretty well.

@FireMixtapeBoy, welcome to the forum.

You are limited on which video cards that you can use.  The newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy/standard BIOS.  HP didn't begin using UEFI until mid-October, 2012.

Your best option is to choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help with choosing the best video card for your system.  Depending on the card you may or may not have to upgrade the power supply unit (PSU).  They can help you with this, also.  This will save you frustration and money.

I personally like EVGA products.  They seem to have the best Tech Support that I have used.  If you are in the US their phone number is 1-888-880-3842.  I suggest telling the Tech that a member of the HP Forums recommended them to you.  I believe this will help.
