Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!
The form factor of an HP Compaq 8000 Elite Small Form Factor Business PC, is, well, a so-called "small form factor", but is also HP-proprietary, meaning, it is powered through a proprietary HP power supply, and is not compatible with an industry standard 24-pin ATX power supply -unless you were to use an ATX power supply adapter, such as seen here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800227186594.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.29.1276CJaDCJaDfH&al....
And yes, you can replace your motherboard with an identical motherboard, the part number is: 536884-001 "System board (Eaglelake/Mars) - For Small Form Factor PC`s".
