Welcome to our HP Community forum!
According to the product number (8BG56AV) you provided, your TG01 has the H470 chipset. Please verify that your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-0xxx is fitted with the Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) by typing in system information in your lower search button, clicking on the System Information app, and looking to the right of "BaseBoard Product".
The best processor compatible with the Baker motherboard would be the i7-10700, i7-10700F, i9-10900 or i9-10900F. The "F" designator means that these CPUs don't have integrated graphics (iGPU), and you'll need a separate graphics card. I could not verify if the Baker motherboard would accept any "K" processors, but if you are adventurous, you could always try it. If this works, the "K" processors with its higher TDP wattage likely requires a CPU heatsink upgrade.
Kind Regards,
