Hi
I have a Seagate Pipeline HD hard drive I want to install in my Envy 700-046.
I am wondering if there is the proper wiring inside the case to install and if so which wires?
I see the wires that are connected to the installed HD ( i think are data) and other jumpers from that wire that have the same terminals, but I do not see what I believe to be the power cable.
can anyone verify if I am thinking this out the right way and if indeed there is only 1 power cable?
Thanks for any advice
Doug

Greetings,
Welcome back to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
The Seagate is a SATA drive.
You need a SATA data cable that connects to an open SATA port on the motherboard.
Then you need a SATA power connection. SATA power connections are daisy chained. So you may have a SATA power cable that can provide power to two or more SATA devices.
