@nelsonbndz,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Your HP Pavilion 590-p0086 Desktop PC (3LB17AA) as fitted with a Lincs motherboard (SSID: 843B), as fitted with a 310-watt power supply (p/n: L03980-800 or L64961-800) -please verify, is a highly upgradeable PC (gaming) platform.

Indeed, let's talk about upgrades.

RAM: up to 2x16GB of DDR4 PC4-21300, 2666 MHz, Non-ECC, Unbuffered, DIMM (UDIMM), 288-pin RAM sticks.

Processor: 8th and 9th gen processors, as per UserBenchMark Users, such as an i7-8700K, i7-9700K and i9-9900. Yes, I can confirm that your motherboard can handle up to 95-watt TDP processors.

There are power supply upgrades available for your desktop: a 400-watt PSU with p/n: L04618-800, or a 500-watt power supply, with p/n: L05757-800. You can purchase these power supplies online, such as via eBay.

Since your PC is smaller sized, choose a smaller-sized graphics card.

If you want to stick with your stock 310-watt power supply, most GTX 1650, RX 6400, GTX 1050 Ti, RX 550 GPUs will fit in your case. Just to be sure, make some measurements -especially lengthwise, to ascertain what will fit. I would guesstimate that 20cm (8-inch) cards would fit -but verify.

If you go with a 400 or 500-watt power supply upgrade, your choice of higher-end graphics cards increases manifold. For example, even with a 400-watt power supply, you could upgrade your rig with a smaller-sized RTX 4060 (powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable), such as this amazingly priced purchase example: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-RTX-4060-Architecture-2X/dp/B0C8BPW1SP/ref=sr_1_4?crid=A2K6I4U82MBW&dib=e....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
