HP Pavilion 590-p0050

which ssd for m.2 socket 3, 2280 type for ssd on HP Pavilion 590-p0050. Would this be NVME or SATA?

Your PC's Lincs motherboard supports NVMe M.2 2280 SSD's.

Thank you just posted same question and added if anyone would know steps to disable optane and add ssd? Do you know if I add ssd, after disable optane add ssd then reboot using old hdd and then clone hdd to ssd. Unhook hdd reboot on ssd?

Sometimes the e-mail notification system doesn't work.

 

See this link below, last two sections for how to properly disable the Intel Optane memory in the Intel RST software and also in the BIOS (if applicable).

Unfortunately, I don't have much experience cloning drives.

 

I prefer to reinstall Windows, my programs and files.

 

After you remove the Intel Optane and install the SSD, you should be able to clone the drive, disconnect the SATA drive and the PC should boot from theSSD.
