Hi;

it's long time I'm trying to upgrade my computer RAM mermory from 16GB to 24GB, it read it but in system info, write: Installed  RAM 24GB (16GB usable).

Processor: intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU X5650 @ 2.67GHz    2.67GHz

why workstation Z800 single processor not accept more than 16GB ram?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when asking for help, you need to consider that we are unable to see through the internet and watch what you are doing or see that memory modules you have

the z800 uses a tripple chanel memory controller as such ram must be instaleed in banks of 3 (not two or four)

and the ram must be registered/ECC type of the correct speed  (DDR3-1333)

if you care to add the nessary details, then perhaps someone can provide further help other than recomending you read  memory placement diagram attached to the z800 side panel
