OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0084

I have an HP Omen and it houses a GTX 2070 Super. I bought a 4070 ti but it looks like it might be too big for the tower. Is there some kind of manuevering I can do or will it not fit at all?

Thanks for your time,

Ben

@Banjofurypesto,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

It depends.

Your OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0084 (4NN70AA), as fitted with an Edoras motherboard (SSID: 84FD), can be fitted -theoretically, with an RTX 4070 Ti, depending on the model.

What I mean is this: out of a whopping 4,660 "HP System OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx" benchmarks, only two (2) -which is 0.04% (!) are fitted with an RTX 4070 Ti (UserBenchmark: HP OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0xxx Compatible Components), and if I had to guess, these are smaller-sized, liquid cooled AIO RTX 4070 Ti models, such as this one: GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 4070 Ti XTREME WATERFORCE Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database.

Point is, generally speaking, the RTX 4070 Ti's are huge -probably not the best pick for your mini tower-sized desktop: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-4070-ti.c3950.

For example, this RTX 4070 model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-founders-edition.b11037, (length 24 cm), would fit in your desktop: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/61823752, whereas other RTX 4070 GPUs will not because of size, such as: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-tuf-rtx-4070-gaming-oc.b11031, (length: 30 cm) will likely not fit.

Conclusion: you'll have to use a ruler to measure what GPU fits or not...

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
