Will the HP pavilion a6720y run with the DDR3 memory when it was made with the DDR2?

Hi:

 

No, it will not.

 

DDR2 memory and DDR3 memory run at different voltages.

 

The notches in the memory modules are cut in different places to physically prevent us from installing the wrong type of memory in the PC.
