Hi @1suffer,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

The HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-2000a typically supports standard-sized graphics cards, but the specific dimensions and compatibility can vary. The RX 5500 (non-XT) is generally a compact card, but you’ll want to check the clearance in your case.

To ensure compatibility:

Check Dimensions: Measure the space inside your case where the GPU will go. The RX 5500 should be around 7-9 inches long, but it’s best to measure to be sure.

Card Slot Type: Make sure the card your brother has is a PCIe x16, which is the standard for modern GPUs.

Power Requirements: Check if the card requires additional power connectors and if your power supply can handle it.

Cooling and Airflow: Ensure there’s enough airflow around the card for proper cooling.

there is more to it than just .. "big and mini" cards that are able to fit into the space your pc has for it. Your motherboard has to be compatible with it and also you're powersupply neeeds to be able to handle it and so you'll need to figure out those factors at at least and you're saying your brother just has a rtx 4060 lying around but isn't somehow about to give you some advice or help on this? that seems kinda odd? did he get it and just can't get it to work on his pc so he got another or is he more fluent in pc systems enough so that he has parts lying around and just spare everything? aand also what cpu do you have? intel? amd? this matters too

the gpu is a zotac gaming rtx 4060 8gb solo which is smaller than my current graphics card and they're both 8 pin connectors its only 5 more wattage  and cooling shouldnt be a problem my pc dont over heat is there anything else to check and if u search the gpu it even says "The ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4060 8GB SOLO is an ultra-compact graphics card"  so theyre both compact the only thing is that my cpu isnt pcie 4.0 which will make it drop a little performance which is fine to me and i used an app called cpu-z hopefully this is enough info

and the screenshot that says board design is my rx 5500 specs i believe i checked it from https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-5500-oem.c3459

and the 4060 is here https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/zotac-rtx-4060-solo.b11174 they both have the same suggested psu the 4060 is 6.4 inches compared to the rx which is 7.1 inches they both have PCIe 4.0 x8 so surely it would work right? also my old card is amd and the new one would be nvidia all i have to do is unistall the old driver for rx and install nvidias right
