will high-density (registered) DRAM work in the HP Compaq 8200 Elite Small Form Factor PC

I saw Paul Tikkanen's statement on the matter (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/What-s-the-max-RAM-for-HP-Elite...), but did not see the word 'registered'.  The price I am seeing for registered DRAM which meets all of the specifications discussed in Mr. Tikkanen's posts seems too good to be true.

Hi:

Registered memory will not work.

Registered memory is ECC.

You need non-ECC, unbuffered memory.

I got a second 8200 Elite a couple years later and bought this memory, but it costs a bit more...

The original Mushkin memory I bought was sold directly from NewEgg, but when tried to order the set again, I could only get it from that hot deals 4 less seller and never got it.  I finally had to ask New egg to intercede on my behalf to get a refund which is why I bought the Patriot memory on Amazon.  It was quite a bit less when I bought it.
