Product: HP Pavilion Desktop - 570-p064
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am recently upgrading my pc from a gtx 1660 super 6gb to an older gtx 1080 aero from msi and was wondering if i need older drivers or am i good to just swap cards

You will need the driver software.
I suggest using the automatic update utility.

https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/drivers/
