I'm recently upgrading my hp pavilion 570 with a i7-7700 and new pc case. I got a deepcool ag400 argb and was wondering if it would fit on the motherboard also i wondering if the rgb would work since i dont see a 3 pin connector on the support page of the lubin motherboard  if not is there any possible way to power that?

Hi @Halko67,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Pavilion 570 typically comes with a proprietary motherboard made specifically for HP systems. These motherboards often have limited compatibility with third-party components due to their proprietary designs and may lack some standard connectors found on retail motherboards.

Regarding the RGB compatibility with the Deepcool AG400 ARGB case, you're correct in noting that if the motherboard doesn't have a 3-pin RGB header, you won't be able to connect the RGB lighting directly to the motherboard for control. The HP Pavilion 570's motherboard may not have native support for RGB lighting.

However, there are alternative ways to power the RGB lighting in your case.

  • Using a separate RGB controller: Many RGB components come with their own controllers that allow you to control the lighting effects independently of the motherboard. The Deepcool AG400 ARGB may come with such a controller. You can connect the RGB fans and strips directly to this controller and use its included software or remote control to manage the lighting effects.
  • Using a separate RGB controller hub: If the case doesn't come with a controller, you can purchase a separate RGB controller hub that connects to your power supply and provides connections for RGB components. These hubs often come with remote controls or can be controlled via software.
  • Using an RGB to Molex adapter: If the RGB components use a standard Molex connector for power, you can use an RGB to Molex adapter to power the RGB lighting directly from your power supply. However, this method won't allow for software control of the RGB lighting.

Ensure compatibility and proper power requirements when using any of these methods to avoid damaging your components.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
