A 339A motherboard, such as fitted on an HP 6300 Pro SFF, has the Intel Q75 Express chipset.
Therefore, the absolute fastest processor that is compatible on an HP 339A motherboard is the Xeon E2-1290 V2 (base frequency of 3.70 GHz and 4.10 at max turbo speed) as fitted on one of my upgraded legacy HP desktops: HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF Performance Results - UserBenchmark. A close second would be the i7-3770K (base frequency of 3.50 GHz and 3.90 at max turbo speed, unoverclocked).
Kind Regards,
