Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Pavilion all in one wireless keyboard quit working. I changed batteries, and nothing. I bought a new Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse, and only the mouse works, so I'm thinking the issue is with the computer, but I am stumped.

Hi @zadavat,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your wireless keyboard!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Reconnect the Keyboard Receiver:

  • Ensure the wireless receiver is securely plugged into a USB port on your computer.

Resynchronize the Keyboard:

  • Some wireless keyboards require a synchronization process. Check for a "connect" button on your receiver and/or keyboard.
  • Steps to Synchronize:
    1. Press and hold the connect button on the receiver for several seconds until it starts blinking.
    2. Immediately press and hold the connect button on your keyboard (if available) until the receiver light stops blinking.

Check the Keyboard Batteries:

  • Ensure the batteries are new and inserted correctly.

Test with a Different USB Port:

  • Try plugging the receiver into a different USB port to rule out a faulty port.

Update Device Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager on your computer.
  • Locate Keyboards, right-click, and select Update driver.

Check for Wireless Interference:

  • Electronic devices like mobile phones and microwave ovens can interfere with wireless signals.

Test the Keyboard on Another Device:

  • Test the keyboard on a different computer to determine if the issue is with the keyboard or your HP Pavilion.

HP Support Assistant:

  • Use the HP Support Assistant to check for any system updates or troubleshooting tools specific to your model.

I hope this helps.
