not sure if this is the correct forum, but i thought it might be a hardware issue.  doesn't happen with on-screen keyboard.

the problem is this--last night, the computer was fine.  the keyboard typed just like it should.

then, today, suddenly every single word has a "v" before it, sometimes after, sometimes mid-word.

sometimes the spacebar types a "v".  hitting the shift key causes multiple "v"s.  there is more, but what i've described already should be enough, i believe.

the backspace key is also acting weird.

neither sticky keys, toggle keys nor filter keys are enabled.

i will include a screenshot of the issue, as this speaks for itself.

hope someone can help--i can find no such issue anywhere on the internet.

thanks for any assistance.vvvvvvvv.png

Greetings,

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

That is very unusual.

What steps have you taken to find the cause of this behavior? Knowing this would prevent redundant troubleshooting suggestions.

Regards
