HP Pavilion AiO PC 27-ca2000i (6L7D8AV)

How do I turn off my wireless keyboard? There is no on off switch. Does it AUTO switch off...or just sit there and drain expensive to replace batteries...if so that is a very poor design! Also, my wireless phone charger on the base/stand pf my ALL IN ONE HP PAVILION is super slow and keeps cutting out...it is almost worthless.

Hi @backlightsux,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Turning Off Your Wireless Keyboard

For many wireless keyboards without an on/off switch, the keyboard may have an auto-sleep function to conserve battery life when not in use. Here are a few steps to check and manage this:

Check for Auto-Sleep Feature:

  • Many wireless keyboards enter a low-power state or sleep mode when not in use for a certain period. Try leaving the keyboard idle and see if it enters sleep mode.

Battery Conservation Tips:

  • Remove Batteries: If you won't be using the keyboard for an extended period, consider removing the batteries to prevent drain.
  • Use Rechargeable Batteries: This can save cost and reduce waste over time.
  • Software Settings: Check if there are any power-saving settings for the keyboard within the HP software or through the keyboard's driver software.

Improving Wireless Phone Charger Performance

Wireless chargers can sometimes be finicky, and performance issues can stem from several factors. Here are a few troubleshooting steps:

Ensure Proper Alignment:

  • Make sure your phone is properly aligned on the charging pad. Misalignment can cause slow charging or interruptions.

Remove Case or Obstructions:

  • Phone cases, especially thick or metal ones, can interfere with wireless charging. Try removing the case to see if charging improves.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your AiO PC and phone have the latest firmware updates. Sometimes, updates can improve charging performance.

Avoid Interference:

  • Keep other electronic devices away from the charging pad as they might cause interference.

Clean the Surface:

  • Dust and debris can affect charging efficiency. Ensure the charging pad and the back of your phone are clean.

Use the Correct Charger:

  • Make sure you are using the original power adapter and cable that came with your HP Pavilion AiO PC, as third-party chargers might not provide consistent power.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
