HP Z240 Tower Workstation

Installed 2 16GB DDR4-3600 (1800MHz) modules in my z240 (Core i7-6700), but they run only at 1066MHz. Is there any method to switch this modules to any higher memory frequency on z240?

Hi @Koguni

Procesador Intel® Core™ i7-6700

You can never go to a frequency that exceeds the frequency supported by the processor which is 2133, CPU-Z shows you the frequency speed of a single channel, all memory has two input and output channels, then you must multiply the frequency 1066 x 2 and gives you the total frequency of the two channels, this is best checked in windows in the Task Manager, it is usually a user error when interpreting the CPU-Z data. It is a topic discussed in many forums
