HP Software component update: 1.0.820.0, and my ethernet went to wifi; changed it. My sound bar had to pair again. All is good now.

Hi @pdnRPH,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your PC.

Follow the below steps to fix the issue.

-Perform a power drain on your PC.

1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.

2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.

5) Power on the PC and check if it boots into Windows now.

- Please install all the pending updates for the Windows operating system following the below steps.

go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it.

- Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the BIOS and let me know if that fixes the issue.

Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.

Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.

Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

Thank you Irwin6,

I did check Device Manager/Firmware/Update and did automatically check-- As usual it said best driver is already installed.

15.14.0.0

I looked at msinfo32 and it says AMI F.14, 8/1/2022   a long time ago.

Checking in HP Support Assistant, there are no new updates for over a year and every once in awhile a message.

As I rebooted from hibernation, it did a  Bios update and verity. Upon looking in msinfo32, same: AMI F.14, 8/1/2022!

Bios update failed 3 times. It says it is F.17. So, either the wrong one or file is inaccurate for this computer.

I have an HP Omen 30L Desktop PC, GT13-1000a (207P7AV), Product: 328S4AA, Serial number 2MO207399m with a 8876 baseboard product, baseboard version 11. The current Bios is AMI.F14 8/1/2022, and since 11.10.2023 it is asking for AMI.F17. It will not update. It fails. HP dialed in today and it failed for him. I cannot communicate with tech support at AMI, to use a utility to install this, if it is needed.

Another bios update offered in HP Support Assistant. F.18. Failed. so either have to use AMI driver for the motherboard OR save to a USB flash drive and try OR.... Still no bios update that will install. And no help.

There was a Microsoft Firmware update 11.19.2023: 15.18.0.0 and it said ok, but not. So I restarted again and and it said ok, and shows ok in Device Manager. Then I checked HP Support Assistant for updates and it showed none. When I looked into history, it showed Bios F18 was installed. So, I checked msinfo32 and sure enough, it now shows F.18. I may be becoming better with my Omen HP desktop!
