Hi,
I can only say the potential to intermittently draw up to 500 watts of power exists if you install two graphics cards. Now add in the CPU power consumption.
Gaming or video editing could intermittently push both cards and the CPU to maximum power draw.
I game on a 9900k and a 2080. I have measured power draw while gaming to see how much power the PC uses when gaming. My PC draws up to 467 watts at times.
I have a 750 watt power supply.
I think you need a bigger power supply.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Two 250 watt R9 280X cards plus a 95 watt CPU is pushing a 650 watt power supply close to the limit at full load.
You could probably do it but i would not go there.
The suggested power supply for one R9 280X is 600 watts.

Thanks Grzwacz,
In the Specs of R9 280X cards it says "Being a dual-slot card, the AMD Radeon R9 280X draws power from 1x 6-pin + 1x 8-pin power connectors, with power draw rated at 250 W maximum."
So , do you think it will use the full maximum power when I put 2 of R9 280X cards in HP z600?

Thanks dear Grzwacz
Very thanks for your help, reply and feedback effectively, The last thing I want to ask about it, can i replace HP z600 Power supply with HPz800 power supply?
I think that HP z800 power supply is 1110 W or 850 W

Hi,
You're very welcome.
The Z800 chassis is larger than the Z600 chassis.
I don't know if a Z800 power supply will fit in a Z600 chassis. I don't see any dimensions listed at the HP Support sites for either power supply: Z600 power supply specs (Link), Z800 power supply specs (Link).
Maybe HP Support (Link) can answer this.
