Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have no obvious signs of hard disk drive failure. Still, the Acronis True Disk Image software says it's encountering an error and suggests I run CHKDSK. I can't run that cause either HP or Microsoft have locked that operation. Do you have recommendations on how I can make the Acronis software successfully create a backup so I can migrate the data from a one terabyte hard drive to a 6 terabyte drive?  Might be relevant or not to get to that one terabyte storage amount, HP has some storage on the HD and some on an Intel Optane chip.
