The motherboard your PC has shows that there is one PCIe x1 slot.

 

If it is not occupied that is where the sound card would go.

Couldn't tell if you saw the images. There is nowhere to put it so the input is accessible from the back???

There should be removable metal blanks.

 

The video card may be taking up the space if you can't see the PCIe x 1 slot, in which case you would have to return the sound card and you can either use BT speakers or there are USB powered sound 'cards.'

I don't see the point in HP advertising slots if they are going to be made useless by adding a video card.  ☹️
