I get a blinking square on left hand side. Also the small page pops up that you get when you right click on mouse that has copy, paste etc..

When I'm on computer after about 15 minutes I get pop ups of old pictures, my drawing tool, calculator etc... My mouse won't go where I want it to, page is flashing. Even when I'm not on I get pop ups similar to the others I mentioned. I have scanned for virus's, did the whole thing. I have to turn computer off and start all over. I don't get advertising pop ups, just my own stuff that I have downloaded. HELP!

Hi @dlalonde1

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Sounds like flaky RAM or a failing system drive (HDD or SSD) if you are positive the OS is malware free.

Could also be corrupt OS files.

Run Boot time HP Hardware Diagnostics. Start the PC. Tap the "ESC" key.

Select "F2". Run system and component tests.

Check Windows file integrity.

Open an Admin command prompt to check system files.

Enter sfc/ scannow

Then run DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth if the first test reveals unfixable problems.

Run the sfc /scannow command again to verify system files have been fixed.

Regards
