Hi, I have the same problem on desktop HP ProDesk 400 G4 MT Business PC. OS Windows 10 - 64b (Czech). After switching on, it turned to Airplane mode. The Airplane mode switching is not available in Network & Internet settings. The network adapter itself seems to be active - yellow and green LEDS on it flash, but does not work. The PC has no wireless adapter, no UPS, just Ethernet adapter, which is disconnected from network in Aiplane mode.

After attempt to repair it automatically (Repair Network Problems), Windows reports (in Czech) something like: "The network adapter is not working, Repair attempt was unsuccessful."

Power-off support while sleeping on the network adapter driver settings was switched off.

Drivers were NOT updated as connection to internet is turned off.

Only repair which worked is return to previous (in Czech "Bod obnovení" ) Restore point (?).

The problem has already occured  2x in last 3 weeks.

My HP Pavilion is stuck on airplane mode so no wireless. Direct connection to the modem still will not connect.  Drivers are updated. Settings switch is grayed out. Nothing is helping to turn off the airplane mode.

I have not found any resonable soulution except return to saved Restore point (in Czech "Bod obnovení").
Since I have ready to solve the problem instantlly using Restore point or disc image backup, the problem have not occured.

I have the All In One. I’m also stuck in airplane mode. Airplane mode is not an option and if you search for it, it just isn’t there. I am having to reset my PC and hope it works. This seems to definitely be a glitch as there is no way to get any updates while stuck in airplane mode. Very frustrating HP.

Forgot to mention. I have only had this PC for 6 months and use it appx twice a week.

I had this problem a long time ago. It's a Windows 10 known issue. I'm going to include a link for all of you to try. You should all have a wireless adapter's and you must remember that airplane mode is designed to kill your wireless connections so wifi won't interfere with the plane's electronic system as fly-by- wire can get interference inside the aircraft. Here is the link to it go read and attempt it there are several things you need to do. It's not an HP problem.

Here is one more thing that you all should know. Make sure your wireless devices have updated drivers that HP does provide and they are different for each machine. If those are not up to date you might never see you wireless NIC (network interface card). Good Luck Thomas. Fyi I'm not an HP tech but I am a computer science and networking major.
