Linux

I have old HP laptop, ProBook 4331s (product number LJ834PA) with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD (installed on hard disk bay)
Previously running on Windows 10 and I want to change it to Linux (using Ubuntu 24.04.
The problem is after the completion of installation and restart, the laptop fails to find the boot system/OS.

What I have done:

  • installed using bootable USB thumb drive. Already tried using Rufus and BalenaEtcher.
  • Setup BIOS: boot devices are USB and hard drive (SSD) only.
  • Already tried to use manual installation (erase partition and re-create partition)
  • Already tried to install older version of Ubuntu (20.04)

Many references said about Secure Boot setting on BIOS, but I could not find it in. I assume because mine is old laptop, so it does not have Secure Boot feature.

So, any suggestion on how I can solve my problem?

Thank you.
