Running a Z2 I9 Workstation which is about 4 months old.
I am getting the following errors perpetually in event viewer (see graphic)
I believe that this error is also causing issues with my mouse because it is happening so often. While the system still works, I think this error is causing the system to not work efficiently and I find that when using things like Magic Wand selection tools in Photoshop that the selection will stop because I believe this error is creating an interrupt that happens during the process. That means that if you pressed the mouse button 100 times, it might only register 70 clicks if 30 events happened on when this error fired. That's not a technical explanation, but one based on a hunch.
I had read that Wolf Security and other HP bloatware (as termed by the Internet) could be the reason for this problem. I cannot comment on this, but can someone help me try and stop this error from happening as it is the only errror I ever see in my Event Viewer.
Thank you very much.

My system totally freezes up about once a week. Displays remain active - but no static. No mouse movement, no clock ticking, no video moving (I do a lot of video work). NOTHING in any logs around the time of the freeze... but every time is preceded by these same errors as GSH explains.
Failure to write an application setting for package AD2F1837.myHP_v10z8vjag6ke6. Error Code: -2147023446
It appears to me like some software is being updated - in this case something related to the HP system, not Windows.
Further, the computer takes almost 30 minutes to become usable after a reboot. High disk usage rates and low CPU usage. Something is not right!
If someone could tell me how to totally shut down all of the additional HP add-ons so I can get my system back, I would greatly appreciate it.
