Hi @AFDDJR,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Auxiliary speakers typically don’t have internal fuses that you can easily replace. If the speakers were affected by a power surge, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
- Check Connections: Ensure that all cables and connections are secure and properly plugged in.
- Test with Another Device: Connect the speakers to a different device (like a phone or another computer) to see if they work. This will help determine if the problem is with the speakers or the original device.
- Inspect for Visible Damage: Look for any visible signs of damage to the speakers or cables.
- Power Cycle the Speakers: Turn off the speakers, unplug them from the power source, wait for a minute or two, and then plug them back in and turn them on.
- Test Power Source: If the speakers have a separate power supply or adapter, make sure it is functioning properly. You can test it with a multimeter if you have one.
- Check Volume Settings: Ensure that the volume on both the speakers and the connected device is turned up and not muted.
If none of these steps work, the speakers may have internal damage.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
