Try entering:     e9lo7vfati      ( 3rd character is a lower case L )

Good morning and Happy Saint Patricks Day!!!

I have an HP Mini 1101, Serial Number CNU9225JDG.

The previous owner had set the BIOS Password and gave it to me a long time ago, I  have since lost the 3 x 5 card that had the password written on it.  

Recently while I was trying to update the OS software, the power at my house "blinked" and it failed during the update process, now it won't boot and I need to be able to tell it to boot from a USB Thumbdrive to recover. 

I called him and he doesn't recall the exact password, I have tried multiple iterations of the one he thought it might be and nothing is working.  After each three failed attempts it gives the same error message: 

Password check failed

Fatal Error ... System Halted

CNU9225JDG

Any ideas?
