So someone I know decided to play about with my computer (big mistake. I was unaware he had until I got home) and now this shows when I start up the computer. I've followed the instructions from HP Virtual support doing both the 'Windows key + B' and the USB recovery and neither works. Can I just assume I have no option but to take it to a repair shop? Thanks.

@DBurn2 -- since a newer BIOS file cannot be found, the current BIOS is still the current BIOS.

While the message is on the screen, press the "ESC" key (top-left of your keyboard) to exit from this screen.

Or, just power-off your computer, either by holding-down the on/off button for up to 30 seconds, or disconnecting the power-cord from the computer (and removing the battery, if your computer is a laptop).

Then, power-on, and your computer should start completely normally.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll give it a go tomorrow (Tuesday) and see what happens. Fingers crossed!
