Any reason why the Bios doesn't show the available drive letters to boot to whether the C drive or a Recovery USB or Hiren's, etc.? Also, I see an exclamation point for Network Adapter. Is this an issue? TY

Greetings @mikeypark
Thanks for the additional info.
I can see having a problem installing Windows using Microsoft USB installation media.
Windows setup can't see the target drive unless you include the IRST .ini file or the IRST .sys file in the USB drive so you can add this driver during the Windows installation process.
I don't know why you can't boot to the Windows USB installer. Maybe I am misunderstanding what is happening.
@Paul_Tikkanen might be able to assist if you need the IRST driver so Windows setup can see the target drive.

Greetings @mikeypark
Welcome back to the Forum.
Bootable drive options at startup should be available by repeatedly tapping the "ESC" key at startup.
Then select "F9".
You should see available boot drive options categorized as Legacy or UEFI.
Legacy drives may not boot if the BIOS Secure Boot setting is enabled.
Microsoft recovery drives should boot with Secure Boot.
I use Hirens created using WinPE (made on the target Secure Boot PC) having Secure Boot enabled.

Thank you, but the BIOS doesn't show the drive letters. This is part of an issue where I created the MS Media Creation Tool and when I try to boot to it I'm getting a driver error which I've been advised requires an IRST download which I can't do as it won't work off the HP Support app as it shows an error and restricts me. In addition, that app shows diagnostics that I have W10 in some places and W11 in others. It came with W10 and I upgraded. Mindboggling for me. My first HP ever. (:
