I am constantly getting a blue screen warning of the need for a BIOS firmware update. Everything else stops. I can shut down and start up again, but the error message may occur again at any time, without warning. I have used MyHP to run hardware and BIOS diagnostics, including updating the firmware. But this did not stop the error messages from occurring. It is very annoying, but worse, I worry that something more serious is wrong

If you're receiving a persistent BIOS firmware update message on your HP ENVY Desktop PC TE02-0000i RCTO Base Model even after you've updated the BIOS, there are several steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Steps to Resolve Persistent BIOS Update Message
Verify BIOS Version:
- Check if the BIOS version has indeed been updated.
- Restart your computer and enter the BIOS setup by pressing F10 during startup.
- Check the current BIOS version and compare it to the version you attempted to install.
Clear CMOS:
- Sometimes, clearing the CMOS can help reset any lingering settings or errors.
- Turn off your computer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the case and locate the CMOS battery (a small coin-cell battery on the motherboard).
- Carefully remove the CMOS battery for about 5-10 minutes, then reinsert it.
- Close the case, plug in your computer, and turn it on.
Reinstall the BIOS Update:
