I'm attempting to update a Compaq-Presario NY540AA-ABA CQ5210F from Windows 7 to Windows 10 but was told from Microsoft support the BIOS is too old. Is an updated BIOS available? Here's the info listed by Belarc Advisor:
Board: PEGATRON CORPORATION NARRA5 5.00
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.49 08/06/2009
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

hi
This model is no longer supported by hp
there is no driver/bios available here, let alone for windows 10!
I have already upgraded windows 7 to windows 10, not complete installation, without having updated the bios
moreover, this was the case for all my systems, from windows xp to windows 11!
unless otherwise specified, special support, since the new bios, so I'm not sure if it's still necessary
My advice would be to try either with a new hard drive (or ssd) so as not to destroy the current system..
or at least to make a complete image, with special software such as macrium, acronis...
Before trying a bios version, found on the net if there is
