Hi:
Try updating the BIOS using the F10 Setup BIOS flash update method since none of the BIOS updates were written to be run using W10.
Download and run the BIOS file from the link below:
v1.13
An information page will open.
Follow the instructions for the F10 Setup BIOS flash method.
HP Compaq 8100 Elite Small Form Factor PC Software and Driver Details
What you do is this:
Get a USB flash drive.
Format it with the FAT32 file system.
At the bottom of the F10 Setup BIOS Flash instructions section, there is a blue link to click on labeled 'View Contents of DOS Flash Folder.'
Click on that and copy all of the files inside the folder to your USB flash drive.
Just the files, not the folder.
Restart the PC.
Immediately tap the F10 key to access the BIOS setup menu.
Select the File tab>Flash System ROM command.
Select the USB flash drive.
The PC should 'see' the files on the flash drive.
Follow the onscreen instructions to update the BIOS.
If you were under the impression that 4.02 is a BIOS update and you ran that thinking the BIOS would be updated to 4.02, you are mistaken.
That is a utility that is used in a corporate environment to update the BIOS through a corporate network.
