You have a HP Pavilion Gaming - TG01-0023w PC.

 

Your PC has the Erica motherboard.

 

The motherboard specs are below:

 

HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Erica | HP® Support

 

Your PC's motherboard only supports the processors listed under the Processor Upgrade Information on the above link.

 

The best processor you can install would be the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X.

 

The AMD Ryzen 7 5700 processor is not supported, with or without a BIOS update.

Please provide the product number of your PC.

 

To find the product number for your PC, click on the search icon on your Windows taskbar.

 

Type: System Information

 

The System information app should show up.

 

Run the app and the product number of your PC will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.
