I tried to perform a system restore on my computer last week but when it finished it came up with a blue screen saying BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND. I have done everything I could think up to no avail. I did the hard drive test and it passsed. PLEASE HELP ME!

If the hard drive passed the diagnostic, then the problem could be the boot manager has been corrupted. Since the Windows version is not posted, and most likely it is either Windows 10 or Windows 8, then you can try a repair with the install media. Windows 10 install media can be made here
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
With a working PC, scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media" and follow the directions. Then boot the problem, PC to this new media and pick repair instead of install. If that doesn't fix the problem, Google repair Boot Record and boot manager with this media.
I'm not an HP employee.
